The IC (Infant Community) class is designed for young children aged 12 months to 3 years, offering a home-like environment that helps children transition from home to school.

In this period, infants and young children are driven by their inner impulse of development, and they unconsciously absorb everything in their surroundings to construct the understanding of the world around them. Therefore, we provide an environment that is safe, friendly, respectful, and is able to fully meet the developmental needs of children – an environment where they can explore and learn in a hands-on way. In this environment, our teachers help children establish a sense of inner security and order through careful observation and guidance.

This is also a period when children's fine and gross motor skills are developing rapidly, during which children love to imitate adults’ behaviors, have strong self-consciousness, and begin to assert their independence. Our teachers support them by guiding them to complete various tasks independently. Through completing these tasks, children will gradually establish self-confidence, cultivate independence and self-care abilities, develop hand-eye coordination, and refine their coordination of small muscle movements. In addition, children will also acquire the love of learning and the ability to learn on their own.

This period is also a crucial period for children to learn languages. Our teachers have prepared an abundance of language learning materials and help children connect real objects with the sounds that we hear (the language) by adopting the Montessori’s hallmark “Three-Period Lesson” teaching method. A variety of matching works will also help young children achieve the transformation from concrete thinking to abstract thinking. Furthermore, we also provide comfortable reading corners and carefully selected picture books to help young children develop good reading habits, as well as to familiarize themselves with the cultures of different countries across the world, in order to prepare themselves for global challenges of the future
